Successful Sons

Four friends reunited at a party after 30 years.
After a few laughs and drinks, one of them had to go to the rest room.
The ones who stayed behind began to talk about their kids and their successes.

The first guy says: I am very proud of my son, he is my pride and joy.
He started working at a very successful company at the bottom of the barrel.
He studied Economics and Business Administration soon he was promoted and
began to climb the corporate ladder becoming the General Manager and now
he is the president of the company. He became so rich that he gave his best
friend a top of the line Mercedes Benz for his birthday.

The second guy says: Damn!, that's terrific!! My son is also my pride and joy,
I am very proud of him. He started working at a traveling agency for a very
big airline. He went to flight school to become a pilot and also manage to become
a partner in the company where he now owns the majority of the assets. He
became so rich that he gave his best friend a brand new jet for his birthday.

The third guy says: Well, well, well congratulations!! My son is also my pride and
joy and he is also very rich. He studied in the best universities and became an
Engineer. He started his own construction company and became very successful
and a multimillionaire. He also gave away something very nice and expensive to
his best friend for his birthday. He built a 30,000 sq ft mansion specially for his
friend.

The three friends congratulated each other mutually for the successes of their sons.
The forth friend who earlier had gone to the restroom returned and asked:What's
going on, what are all the congratulations for? One of the three said: We were
talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. And then he asked,
What about your son?

The forth man replied: My son is Gay and he makes a living dancing as a stripper
at a nightclub. The three friends said: What a shame that must be, that is horrible,
what a disappointment you must feel. The forth man replied: No, I am not ashamed.
Not at all. He is my son and I love him just as well, he is my pride and joy. And
he is very lucky too. Did you know that his birthday just passed and the other day
he received a beautiful 30,000 sq ft mansion, a brand new jet and a top of the line
Mercedes Benz from his three boyfriends.

some ppl joined in the fun and stood up..

at nite had steamboat wif frens at ''zhen fa steamboat''..
den enjoyed the wonderful fireworks..
it was spectacular..
cant wait for next time..

9/8 - the big day!!
Singapore's 41th birthday!!
glad to be standing at the stadium..
infront of about 55,000 ppl.

the atmosphere was HIGH!!
especially when MM Lee Kuan Yew..
walked down slowly to his seat at the grandstand..
but wat was sad..
is dat i could not see the fireworks..
ndp rocks!
made alot of frens..
5months of saturdays'..

FRIDAY

lessons as usual.
den it was history.
favourite movie bout hitler.
he was lik shoutin durin his speeches.
''We, must destroy the blablas, and build a better Germany!''
Then, without forgettin the movement of his hands.
Alot of actions.

School was over.
rushed to canteen.
had a break.
prepared for the journey to red cross home for disabled.
has been 2yrs since i went there.

reached there.
interacted wif the residents.
cleaned the place.
and when it was time for us to leave.
we could not bear to go.

it was heart-breakin,
to see people bedridden or on wheelchairs.
it made me feel that we must pity them,
and not look down on them.

becos i went to visit the disabled.
i could nto catch the band performance.
but heard dat it was good.
and one of the band's best.

SATURDAY

today's the NE show for pri 5 kids.
went to stadium today at bout 10+
had some rehearsals.
boy, the sun had scorching heat.
it was so hot,
i tink could reach to 35degress.

lunchtime
pizzahut.
yea man.

3 pieces of spicy drumlets
2 pieces of garlic bread
1 slice of hawaiian pizza
all packed in a small box.

it was delicious.
dat everyone asked for more.
perhaps we jus hungry. lol.

we for another rehearsal again at 2+
the weather slightly better.

jus before 4.
dinner was ready.
kfc.
2 pieces of chicken
smashed potato and a bun.

oh well. it was feelin for the stomach.
it was barely a difference of 2 hrs
between our lunch and dinner.

then as we made our way back to the indoor stadium.
for our long break,
we met pri 5 kids
from all over singapore.
they were so eager to enter the stadium.
i can say that they are fortunate,
as they are the last batch of kids,
to visit the stadium before its demolished.

time flew.
and it was 6.30pm
time for the parade the start.
as the contingents got ready.

when we went in,
i could hear the screams if the kids.
it wasn't soft. i could say.
the whole place was packed.

when the commanders
were shoutin the commands,
i could hear the kids laughin and impersonatin him.
haha. it made me tink of the past.
when i was lik them 4yrs ago,
sittin there laughin wif my frens.

songs by chen weilian and kaira gong.
then the ''president'' came.
it was defence minister.

when it was time for the parade to march past,
i kept lookin at the guard of honour.
the 1st few marched well.
then i noticed the police contingent.
their arms were not co-ordinated,
and it looked so funny.

in conclusion,
the show was a wonderful one.
now, its jus 2 weeks from the preview.
and 3 weeks from singapore's birthday. =)

wow. time passed real fast.
has been 11 daes since i blogged.

the day before.on sunday
went balloon hat festival at sentosa.
had fun watchin the band sculptin balloon hats.
haha.den i jus stood there.didnt do any balloons..

den follow the band as they marched to the beach.
saw alot of ppl takin photos.
no one fell down or fainted.
the weather was very fine.as it was 5+

the lettin of balloons was nice, colourful.
alot of noise made.

err..finally got time to blog le..
after lik 8 days of ''depression and scoldin'' period..
i am back here to post..

basically..its all bout results..
poor and poorer results..
failed 4 out of 8..hai..
needa reflect on myself..
based on wat i think..i feel dat i spend too much thinkin bout other stuff..
that are not related to my studies..
should reli think hard whether are the time spent worth it..
or i should only jus think bout studies and nothing else..
need alot of thought on this..

hmm..during the past few days..

as about life..
an ex-teacher passed away peacefully the past few days..
he committed almost 2/3 of his life to the skool..
and the skool expressed our deepest condolences to his family members..
by observing a minute of silence yesterday..

hmm..tink its been quite awhile since i last posted...
today..erm..started off with a-maths...ms.low went thru some practice questions...
den..it was physics...did nth much...time passed quite fast...
soon..it was ss.. did a presentation..didnt speak much..jus asked the class to read the slides...
and said some lame stuff...like bloody friday and bloody sunday...why no bloody saturday?
cos..the ppl nid to rest on saturday after fightin' on friday...funny ah? haha...
recess..ate soggy red bean pau..=( den took out sweets...placed on the table..
not long later...whole packet gone...LOL...
after dat..was chinese..had spellin...hai..my chinese standard dropped...
since dis year..wif a diff. teacher...dono how sia..
next..geography...the boring subject for everyone...

LOL...something mor funny happened...i threw the ball...
it went into the drain...den suddenly bounced out and hit a few pins...

suddenly at 12+...cats and dogs fell down from the sky..
den we stayed at the canteen...our patience was gone..
we ran out of skool..chiong to the bus-stop...
we kena hit by alot of cats and dogs...
went to play bowling wif pengyang, julian, zijian, don, shawn, yichao, jeffrey..
so many of my balls went into the drain..lol..
i too lousy..shawn, julian, py, yichao so pro..
shawn kept strikin sia...
den jeffrey throw damn funny...
he throw the ball in the air...den BOM down...nearly strike sia..
zijian zero all the way...den suddenly hit one pin...got one point..
den we all woohoo...he so happy sia...ahahaha..1 point..
quite an achievement..at last..he and jeffrey got the lowest scores...
the person wif the lowest points treated every1 vanilla cones at mac..

err..mother tongue quite sian at 1st...den turned funny later...
i wore ''crazy'' spectacles during lesson..its specs wif eyeballs drawn on paper...
den placed on the lenses..haha..i'm jus being lame..but its a cool thing..lol..if u wan to sleep durin boring lessons lik geography or ss.. : )
den it was physics lesson..went to com' lab 4..
did nth much..jus search for stuff on the net..
after dat..was a-maths..cont' on drawin curve graphs..
time passed fast..recess came very quickly..
soon..cme lesson was next..went to com' lab again..
slack ard..check on rice dumplin' festival...
den mr.loh caught som1 searching on EPL (soccer)...
den i tot he wuld scold dat guy...but he didnt...
instead he asked if barcelona defeated benifica..rofl man..
den i told him the score blablabla...

got my blog finally...1st..i would lik to thank ''zhi xuan & hui teng'' for helpin me in the blog... next..i can start typin stuff in the blog liao..wooo.. hmm..yesterdae was quite fun.. went to meiji wif weehao to buy chocos for fanny,liping & jeannie... den came back did project discussion wif mr.lam till 5pm..went red x for awhile..den suddenly rainin dogs n cats... reached home very sian.. nid to iron uniform..cos today got trainin..today's trainin quite relax...the SAF officers train us a few hours.. den can go home liao... went home slack... at 5.. queued up for 45mins for pepper crab den eat..eat..until 7.. here i am typin my very 1st post...pls gimme some comments cos its my 1st time...tks alot.. AND EVERIONE... jss band is goin to perform at bukit batok cc tml at 5pm..pls giv dem some support...hehe...
